I have been coming to Ted's for years. Their bacon is the best in the city for SURE. The servers are always so friendly, and the vibe is fantastic in there. The prices are insanely well priced.3 Egg meal scrambled with bacon please!!Definitely a must-stop breakfast place!

This old school diner is straight out of the 60's with plenty of old school charm. The exterior of the restaurant even has that old greasy spoon look. The menu and food is basic diner fair and is done really well. The weekday breakfast time is not too busy so service was reasonably quick.

We arrived at 11 am on a Sunday. Parking was tight, but we found a spot. There were 2-3 open tables, but when we left, there was a lineup out the door. It's definitely a very busy place. Love the vibe of this diner. I felt I was in the 50s! Loads of families (so, very family friendly). Our server was extremely friendly with a touch of humour. He enjoys his job. The coffee is great. I ordered eggs, bacon, potatoes, and rye toast. I was offered sliced tomatoes (you can have 'em fresh or grilled). Highly recommend. Breakfast for 3 was 40.

My family owned this place in the 70’s, my uncle before us and other relatives after us. There were constantly lineups when we ran it and the food my Uncle cooked was top notch! We went back to experience it again. It was half full. Very little has been done since we left. In some ways this is good for the diner ambience but there are some ceiling tiles that need replacing. We ordered the hot Hamburger and hot turkey sandwiches and I have to say the food is still very good. I just wish a little more care was taken in terms of its maintenance. Great value, two great meals under 30.

This Scarborough gem is a MUST HAVE for breakfast!!!!!I was alittle weary in trying a new breakfast place based on previous Google reviews as we were severely disappointed with our last breakfast offering. Most of the reviews were good about the food and service but what had me very worried was the comments about bad service due to race. I like to form my own opinions and I'm happy to say those comments didn't impact our experience. This is a real Mom and Pop diner that has been a Scarborough staple for over 70 years. It was homey and clean. We were warmly greeted by Barbara who invited us to sit wherever we wanted. She took our orders promptly without writing anything down. You could see she's been doing this for many years and it shows. The food arrived quickly; it was a generous portion and DELICIOUS!!!! I managed to take a picture of everyone's food but mine lol. I had the meat lovers omelete with sliced tomatoes as I've been eating low carb diet. Barbara without hesitation was ok with it me substituting the potatoes and bread as she's been on a low carb journey too and LOOKS FANTASTIC!!!!Barbara came to check on us to make sure everything was good. The boys rated the meal 9.5 out of 10 which is amazing as their super critical of EVERYTHING lolThe restaurant patrons and staff was WELL DIVERSE. Maya was super friendly when were settling the bill.I was extremely impressed and cannot wait to come back again!!!!

This spot feels like a time capsule—think classic diner vibes from the 60s, right down to the regulars who seem like they’ve been coming here for decades. The menu has a wide selection of breakfast and lunch staples at super reasonable prices. We had the 3 eggs with sausage and bacon, served with buttered toast and bottomless coffee. The service was friendly and no-nonsense, which added to the charm. I’d happily swing by again if I’m in the neighborhood.
